‘Shailesh Lodha Should Stop Twisting Facts’: TMKOC Producer Asit Modi SLAMS Actor For Claiming He Won Rs 1.5 Crore Lawsuit Against Them
One of the longest running shows on Indian television, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making the headlines for all the work reasons. Having entertained the audience for over 15 years now with their wacky and quirky storylines, the makers of the show have come under the scanner for their questionable behaviour with the cast. While the audience is still waiting for an update of Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal’s case, earlier in August, it was reported that Shailesh Lodha, who essayed the titular role, won a Rs 1.5 crore lawsuit against the makers over non-payment of dues.

Now, producer Asit Kumarr Modi has reacted to his claims and accused the actor of making false claims. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, calling Lodha’s statement “a wrong representation,” the producer explained how the court order states that the case was settled with consent. Quoted by IndiaTV, he added, “We are unable to understand his intentions behind sharing false information. We would appreciate if puts this to rest and stops twisting facts.” ALSO READ: Shailesh Lodha WINS Rs 1.5 Crore Lawsuit Against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Producer Asit Modi-DETAILS INSIDE

Modi went on to explain that they never denied the actor his payments and had tried to reach out to Shailesh for a meeting as there was an issue with his exit letter. Despite reaching out to him multiple times, the actor approached the NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) instead of finalising the terms of his exit document. In an earlier interview, shedding light on the entire matter, Modi had revealed, “We have a record of emails and text messages sent to him. How are so many people working on the show for the past 15 years if their dues are not cleared on time? Strangely, jab tak aap show ka hissa hain tab tak sab achha aur jaise hi chhod dete hain toh sab bure. I fail to understand this attitude.”

Talking about the show, over the years a lot of actors have been replaced and re-casted. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently the longest running comedy show on Indian television.
